Wetwheels runners race in the Great South Run

A team of 10 runners - our Wetwheels Champions - took part in the Great South Run 10 mile road race in Portsmouth on Sunday 20 October 2020.

It is the first time Wetwheels has entered runners in the event and it proved to be a great success. The final sponsorship total is still to be confirmed, but our dedicated runners have raised vital funds that will provide barrier-free boating experiences to disabled people.

The custom design of our accessible boats allow all participants to play an active role on board. All disabled people - even those with multiple profound and complex impairments - can take the helm alongside their friends and family. The inclusive experience builds confidence and improves physical and mental wellbeing.

By raising funds and awareness, our Wetwheels Champions' efforts will make a positive difference to the disabled people that join us in our five locations: Dover, Hamble, Jersey, Portsmouth and Whitby.

Thank you to so much to our amazing runners: Chris Hughes, Emma Farndell, Emma Pethybridge, James Holland, Jamie Moran, Jodi Tierney, Kealey McVeagh, Ravi Ahlawat, Sarah Moulding and Sharon Simmons. You are all fantastic and we are so proud of you.
