Scarborough Accessible Wildlife Adventure – Bempton Cliffs Special (currently unavailable)

Yorkshire

This fully accessible trip is for the more intrepid adventurers and is VERY weather dependent! Please do not book this trip if you have any concerns about taking an extended adventure at sea.

Once everyone is settled on board, our lines will be cast off and our adventure begins. At a leisurely pace, whilst everyone gets comfortable and settled, Wetwheels Yorkshire will spend a few minutes in Scarborough’s historic harbour before passing under the shadow of the lighthouse and into South Bay. Subject to conditions we will head towards Cayton Bay and subsequently around Filey Brigg before cruising towards the spectacular Bempton Cliffs. Participants will enjoy approximately 60 minutes moving sedately under the cliffs, with due respect to the thousands of sea birds, before speeding back to Scarborough. If we are very lucky, we may encounter seals, porpoise, and the now-regular visitors to Scarborough, bottlenose dolphins!

Where possible, participants will even get the opportunity to access the helm and steer the boat.

Wetwheels Yorkshire works closely with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and we may have one of their experts on board to answer questions and assist in species recognition.

People travel all over the World to see the species we have right on our doorstep!

We recommend participants have undertaken a regular Wetwheels Yorkshire trip prior to booking a whale watching trip due to the longer duration)
