Anniversary and Appeal

We were delighted to unveil our new Appeal today at the Southampton International Boat Show, with ambitious plans for the future.

Visit ITV Meridian's website to see Geoff being interviewed, and talking about our journey with friends from Rose Road (go to 1min 34secs).

Founder Geoff Holt MBE DL, Trustee Paul Strzelecki and Chief Executive Neil Wilson were joined by colleagues, friends, press and media, hosted by our partners Raymarine, as we announced our new Appeal to raise £1M and to celebrate our 10th Anniversary.

In just ten years, Wetwheels has given over 35,000 disabled people the exhilarating opportunity to spend time on the water onboard specially-built, fully accessible powerboats.

But this is just the beginning ... our plans are to create 4 new boats and to enable 100,000 people to access the water over the coming years.

Geoff explained "we have achieved so much over the past decade - and can we thank everyone who has helped make this possible. We have seen some truly magical moments as so many disabled people have experienced the wonders of being on the open water, barrier free.

But to continue to grow and meet the demand for what we do, we need new supporters, volunteers and donors to join us. Please get in touch to support the new Appeal and help us on our incredible journey".

Can we also thank Rose Road who are a special Southampton charity, for whom Geoff is an Ambassador and who joined us this morning on the boat, and media agency Carswell Gould.
