The Dream continues

It is official .... we did it! With my wonderful crew Sam and James, and the incredible land-based team, we arrived back safe and sound at St. Katharine's Dock on Friday, exhausted but elated.

The journey pushed us all to our physical limits and challenged our seamanship as we navigated around the UK, but with all the support we received from so many people, we were inspired never to give up.

There were so many highlights, but some of the most special moments were meeting disabled people and their families in new locations, who had never even heard of Wetwheels, and getting them out on the water. This included at Milford Haven, where we had some amazing trips with young people who felt the sea air on the open water, for the first time. It was so lovely to have one of our participants Bob, and his family, with us on the final leg, pictured with me and our supporters.

But the wider journey has only just begun. We have raised close to £80,000 which is amazing, but we have even more challenging waters to navigate to purchase more boats, in more locations, and reach more people who would benefit so much.

Please do continue to follow our story - we receive your support, with true appreciation.

Thank you also to our wonderful sponsors without whom we could not have succeeded. The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation have been incredible and may I thank Sir Stelios personally for his continued support. Hugh James, RS Marine and Raymarine have been both generous sponsors but also great friends, and we have embedded these already deep partnerships. Henri Lloyd supplied us with the highest quality premium marine clothing, which kept us protected against the elements, building on a trusted relationship I have had with them, for many years.

To sign off, we do have our final tickets for our Celebration Dinner on Thursday 27th June, with a deadline of 20th June to book - please neil.wilson@wetwheelsfoundation.org or visit our website for full details.

Thank you once again to everyone who has helped this Dream come true - see you on the waves.

With Best wishes
