2025 Wetwheels Yorkshire Season Highlights

This lovely video features just a small selection of the wonderful memories created on board Yorkshire’s fully accessible power boat, Wetwheels Yorkshire. Massive thanks to all our participants and the organisations and individuals who helped make the magic happen. Not forgetting a special shout out to the wonderful volunteer crew, without whom we wouldn’t have enabled over almost 10,000 disabled people, with their families and friends, to experience the amazing marine environment off the North East Coast.

Ocean Mini Torbay Support Wetwheels Torbay

We are delighted to receive support from Ocean Mini Torbay. They sponsored and captured a fantastic trip out on the water with some children from a local school – we had so much fun.

Sunderland Outreach 2024 with The Special Lioness

In August 2024, Wetwheels Yorkshire visited Sunderland for the first time to deliver barrier free boating to a local children’s charity, The Special Lioness. This video captures some of the memories created during a week of accessible adventures onto the sea.

Scarborough Dolphins and Smiles June 2024

After a less than perfect start, weather-wise, our 2024 season arrived in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and delivered in spades!  Smiles, dolphins, seabirds and yet more smiles.  Enjoy some of the best dolphin clips we’ve ever seen…

Double Trouble 2024

Double Trouble was a project that saw two fully accessible power catamarans, Wetwheels Yorkshire and Wetwheels Edinburgh, visit Royal Quays Marina, North Shields, to run fully accessible adventures on the sea in 2024. Working with disability charities, children’s hospices and SEN schools almost 300 disabled people and their families shared a safe, exciting and fun adventure.
